The Beginning

Growing up Mike had two jobs, one of them was at a grocery store.  He liked his job however, he did not always like to go by other people’s rules.  His boss at the time told him that if he didn’t like the rules he should become his own boss.  Shortly thereafter, Mike was fired.  He decided to spend his last paycheck on a pillow.  An odd purchase it may have seemed, but Mike was sick and tired of not getting a good night’s sleep. His thoughts were that a pillow must need to cost a lot to be effective. But even that pillow left him with the same issues as all the other pillows he had tried.  The pillow would go flat, it would get hot, and he would wake up with a sore arm and a stiff neck.

Dream Becomes Reality

Mike found a way to become his own boss by owning several bars and restaurants near his hometown.  It was years later however, that his true calling came to fruition.  One evening Mike had a dream about a pillow.  It wasn’t entirely clear to him at first but one thing that was clear, was the name MyPillow.  He asked his oldest daughter to design a logo for “MyPilllow”.  He had the logo printed on 30,000 bags before the prototype was even developed.
